Entering my sophomore year was difficult. We were mid-pandemic, which made motivation quite sparse. Because I was home so often this year, most of the art I made was digital, and as a result, my digital skills grew tremendously. Making art brought me joy in really difficult and isolated times. I explored other medias my sophomore year, like photography and metals/jewelry. I enjoyed this diversification, but I didn't stick to these mediums much after. This year I also pushed myself to create original compositions and improve my design skills, rather than drawing directly from reference. This push was a really big step for me, and gave me a lot of inspiration for future pieces.
